Hi Members,

The Fareham Creek Regatta is on the 14th and 15th July. Please keep the club pontoon clear (Friday 13th to Sunday 15th July).

Would all the gig teams arrive at the club before the opening ceremony, which is at 11am on Saturday to sign in and to collect their tee shirts and also arrive by midday on Sunday.

Just an update the first Lugger race on Sunday starts at midday

FSMBC REGATTA DINGHY SAILING

The first handicap race is planned for Sunday 15th at midday.

Please email me to book a Club dinghy, don’t just turn up and hope for the best!

Ostrobogulous Note:

 

  • Up till recently the two scoring systems have produced similar results. However we are now starting to see the effect of having no discards.
  • Competitors with a high cumulative score can only gain points from competitors they beat with a similar high cumulative score.
  • Also to note that competitors who started a race, but failed to finish (dnf) also get awarded a point for competing.
